Meet the Team.

Established in 1987, RAVentures has been developing companies and concepts across multiple sectors, with a focus on restaurant and hospitality. Their marquee restaurant brands include 110 Grill, Evviva Trattoria and Oar & Iron.

Renie Faddoul is the Senior Training & Administration Manager for 110 Grill. She and her colleagues Stephanie Sundberg (Director of Administration, Evviva), and Bri Jordan (Director of Training & Development, Florida), work together to vet new technology, lead rollouts by concept, and support training/operations across their multi-brand, multi-location portfolio.

The group collaborates closely on vendor selection and stages implementations by concept to move fast without disrupting ops.

“Four Hours of Counting:” Why the Old Tip Process Had to Go

Before Kickfin, managers across RAVentures brands paid out cash nightly. When drawers ran low, locations emailed corporate for checks, then drove to their headquarters, cashed them, and drove back — a cycle repeated multiple times a week.

Operational pain points included:

  • Excess time and labor: Cash tip outs + end-of-day paperwork could consume hours (often when teams most needed managers on the floor).
  • Safety and liability: District managers would drive around with thousands in cash, and late-night staff would leave with hundreds in their pockets.
  • Accounting friction: Manual math created human-error risk, next-day make-goods, and book imbalances.

It was clear that a new system was needed. The goal: find a way to eliminate bank runs, reduce cash handling, and shorten time to close — but still maintain same-day pay for team members.

From Pilot to Rollout: Why RA Ventures Chose Kickfin

The team piloted at 110 Grill (where several GMs already knew Kickfin), gathered feedback, and rolled across the brand in approximately 6 weeks. They extended to Evviva Trattoria and Oar & Iron soon after.

Re and her colleagues said Kickfin checked all the boxes – and implementation was “the easiest, most streamlined process” they’ve dealt with as operators. Staff could opt for instant, direct-to-bank payouts or bi-weekly payroll; overwhelmingly, they chose instant payouts.

Results from Day One

Close-out time reclaimed: Managers spend less time reconciling cash and more time on the floor and training.

Bank runs done: No repeated HQ check pickups or bank trips—meaning less mileage, fewer interruptions, and safer ops.

Cash exposure reduced: Far less cash on site and in pockets at close, reducing liability.

Transparency employees love: Team members log in to see their tips by shift, with instant deposit to their bank accounts—nights, weekends, and holidays included.

Adoption speaks for itself: At Evviva Trattoria, 98% of employees opted into instant payouts; only a small minority preferred pay-check disbursement.

“Managers can spend more time on the floor with their guests, spend more time training new team members that come in instead of having to sit in the office and do four hours of counting and paperwork at the end of the night.”
